JPG does not store transparency. We fill transparent pixels with your chosen color—white by default. For logos and screenshots with small text, inspect the result at full size: JPG compression can soften hard edges. Keep your original PNG if you need transparency later.
Will a PNG always get smaller?
No. Photos often get smaller, but simple graphics can grow. The result shows the actual size change; lowering quality or dimensions may help.
All files are processed locally. Camera metadata is not copied. Your original files are never overwritten.
